FAMILY HEIRLOOM LOST ON BEACH IN CAPE MAY,NJ ON WEDDING DAY RETURNED TO NEWLYWEDS BY ED CROPSKI

I responded to a Craiglist add for a lost ring in Cape May, NJ the other day and received a response from a young woman who had just gotten married last Saturday on the beach in Cape May. She explained that she was wearing her grandmothers 18k white gold wedding ring as the traditional “Something old” and during either the ceremony or photo shoot she had lost the ring in the sand. We met on the beach the next day and upon reviewing some pictures taken that day and her recollection of the days events we were able to narrow the search down to 2 areas. Unfortunately the tide was up and one of the areas was underwater so we searched the other area and waited for the water to recede and searched the other area. Not having any luck in the dry sand area and with the water now low enough to start searching the other spot it wasn’t long before I got the signal I was looking for from my Whites V3i metal detector. After a tough 2 hour search I found the ring and called the new bride over to show her the ring. She was so amazed and thankful for my help and she put the ring on with her also new wedding ring. now they can get back to enjoying their honeymoon! This recovery really made my day. Congratulations Kat & Rob, Best wishes!
